In one paragraph
Meridian17 is a think and do tank advancing the business of Africa–Europe partnership. Founded in 2025 and registered in the Netherlands and South Africa, it researches the questions that decide whether companies from the two continents actually work together: capital and risk, trade flows, EU infrastructure investment under Global Gateway, and the cultural and political assumptions behind the "shared values" narrative. It publishes papers, commentary and quarterly policy reports, builds open data tools, and hosts the Media in Africa podcast. The name refers to the 17th meridian, the longest line of longitude connecting both continents.
