Medlink: decarbonizing North Africa and EU energy sector
The project consists in developing around 10 GW of renewable energy in Algeria and Tunisia, producing 30 TWh/year for local use and export, plus 4 GW of new electricity transfer capacity between North Africa and Europe. It aims to cut about 8 MtCO2/year in the EU and accelerate the energy transition.
